Aaron McNeil Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 11, 2024.
Aaron James McNeil, born July 17,1989 in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord September 28, 2024. Aaron graduated from MacArthur High School in 2008 and attended the University of the Ozarks where he continued playing baseball. Aaron's love of baseball never left him and he worked as a hitting and pitching instructor for young baseball players in the San Antonio area. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and was an excellent wing shooter always getting his limit of doves. Good times were spent at the Guadalupe River, fishing at Crescent Bend, and hanging out at the camp house at Morales. Aaron was a good friend to many, never ceasing to help those in need. Dogs were a soft spot for him. He will be remembered for his smile, great sense of humor, and compassion. Aaron had a special bond with his brother, always having each other's back. He attained the level of Journeyman in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was working towards becoming a Master Electrician. Most importantly, Aaron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on June 27, 2024 answering the prayers of so many.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife Shelby & her family; his parents Dan & Carol McNeil; his brother Matthew, wife Malynda & their daughter Margaret Grace; Uncles Will McNeil & Kelly and Steven Wenninger & wife Marie; Aunts Linda Kyle & husband Bob; Susan Harris & Tom; cousins Jerry Harris, Luke McNeil & wife Alexis; Parker McNeil, Sam Wenninger & wife Monaie; Joshua, Jacob, and Rachel Wenninger & Andre; Jeffrey Kowarsky & wife Amy; and Jennifer Mantzios & Patrick; Ray Wenninger, Annie Mullen & husband Dan, David Wenninger & Brittany and Heather Wenninger & Joe.

Aaron, thank you for being such a kind , helpful baseball trainer to my son ;Moses. Thank you for your encouraging words, always telling him that regardless of him being a hard hearing individual , he´s capable to play the game. He will always remember your coaching skills and will use it towards his future games. You´ll be missed.

I didn´t know Aaron well but he was the type of man that you could feel and see his heart a mile away. He always had a smile in his eyes and on his face, and he always made sure to come and greet me with a hug. you will forever be missed my friend.
