Aaron Singer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 5, 2016.
Atkinson NH: Aaron Michael Singer, 54, of Atkinson NH, formerly of Natick MA, died Wednesday October 5th surrounded by his family at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New York City, son of the late Judith Hammer, and raised by his grandparents, the late Joseph and Rose Hammer, he was raised and educated in Wellesley. He attended Wellesley High School, Class of 1980, and played Varsity football. Aaron would later play freshman and sophomore football at Harvard University, and graduated Harvard, Class of 1984, with a degree in Biology. An entrepreneur, Aaron established Singer Subaru of Plaistow, in 2004, and turned his lifelong passion for automobiles into a successful business, and was a member of the Subaru Dealers of New England. A member of the Timberlane Community Band for many years, he was an accomplished percussionist, a model rocketeer, and an avid fan of boating, at his favorite place; Lake Winnipesaukee. A devoted family man, he enjoyed sharing his passion for trucks and Jeeps, and snowmobiling in the winter. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Michelle (Hawkins) Singer, his four children Zachary Singer of Atkinson, Sierra Mariano of Derry, Christina McKeon of Boca Raton, FL, Jillian Singer of Atkinson, and two grandchildren; Camden and Jacob, of Derry, as well as several extended family members across the country. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street Plaistow, NH. His graveside service will follow on Saturday, at 11:30 a.m in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society of Massachusetts 30 Speen Street, Framingham MA 01701 or www.musicdrivesus.org . My sincere sympathy and condolences to the entire Singer family. I'm in total shock that the man, husband, father, grandfather and friend of so many people has passed. It was about 11PM last night when I discovered Aaron's passing. His "larger than life" smile and positive attitude were, something I will always remember. May you Rest In Peace and may God Bless you.

I met Aaron at the auto auctions years ago when our company had a pre-owned car business. We only sold Subaru's, so we ended up doing a lot of business with Aaron and he also sold me a few new cars for myself and my mother. I always enjoyed dealing with him and and am so sad to hear of his passing. Over the past few years I've enjoyed watching him try to live each moment like it were his last and he was an inspiration to us all. He will be missed.

Dear Michelle, please accept my prayers for you, the children & in-laws and grandchildren! I am a high school classmate of Aaron (and fellow band member) who remembers him well: humorous, intelligent, giving and gentle (given his great statute :)). Please know my prayers for his eternal rest in the embrace of our GOD of all Creation, who loves him! Sincerely yours in the LORD, (Fr.) Ed Riley

Michelle - In high school Aaron was a good friend to me and so many others. I had the pleasure of meeting you at a number of Wellesley High reunions. It was always a joy to see you and Aaron together-such a loving couple and best of friends. I will remember Aaron as a happy, loving family man and a dear high school friend with drum sticks in hand (or in his back pocket!) Thank you for making the effort to come to our reunion in April. It was a blessing to spend time with you both. Sending prayers to you and your family. I hope your many happy memories bring you some comfort. I am keeping you all in my thoughts.- Jane Donohue

To the entire Singer family; I am saddened to hear of Aaron's passing. I met Aaron in 1990 working together at a high line automobile dealership. We remained friends and colleagues throughout the 90's working in the auto industry with the same automotive groups. Aaron was always the consummate gentle giant with a heart of gold. Although it's been many years since we've been in close touch, the fond memories I have of Aaron remain dear to me. I wish the Singer family the very best going forward an hope they find strength through God to carry on. Our deepest sympathy to all.
Love,
Ron Fonzi and Robby Markow.

As the automobile columnist for The Eagle-Tribune Newspaper, I dealt with Aaron whenever I wrote a review of a Subaru model. His Singer Subaru was the area's Subaru dealership, and I would get a few quotations from Aaron about the particular model I was writing about. I always enjoyed talking to Aaron. He was fair-minded, thoughtful and intelligent. He was also a warm human being who made even professional interactions like ours pleasant and enjoyable. He is missed.

The cascade of tears could fill Lake Winnipesaukee to a brink of overflow, as my Heart can't handle the loss of such a Wonderful Loving Brother in Law! Aaron was more than just a brother in law, he was the husband to my sister and father to my nieces and nephew, as well as my children's Uncle. A man with a Heart as big as the Moon. I will miss this man with all that I have. Love you forever Aaron, Linda

I am heartbroken and sad for you MIchelle and your family. This is an incredible loss. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I'd like to share this beautiful prayer I found that I hope gives you some comfort.
At the rising of the sun and at its going down, we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
At the shining of the sun and in the warmth of summer, we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and at its end, we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share, we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are a part of us, as we remember them.

Aaron and I re-connected via Facebook during the past year, and we reminisced about his seventh-grade experience, as I was his seventh-grade English teacher. I was stunned to read of his passing, as he was much too young with too much living left to do. My heart goes out to his family during this most difficult time.
