Aasav Prakash will stay alive in our memories!
Aasav passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Aasav was 23 years old, and was working at Microsoft, Redmond for the last two years. Aasav passed away peacefully in his sleep in his Seattle apartment. ?
Aasav was caring, respectful and very self-sufficient. Aasav surprised us all by graduating in less than three years with a bachelor's degree in computer science from University of Washington, in April 2014. Aasav had a great job at Microsoft where he worked for two years; and we expected him to have a long productive loving life. Aasav had many friends, and he was known to be the least judgmental one among his friends. Aasav believed in simple living, high thinking.?
Prachee and Alok could not have hoped for a better son. Anushna could not have gotten a better brother. ?Aasav will stay alive in our memories forever!

I also remember the last nightcouple of us spentwith him in Seattle after a conference. He suggested aSushiand ice cream for us to try - it was great. After that, I left to India ona business trip & heard the news there which I couldn't really believe or digest.

Alok, Prachee and Anushna, there are no words that we could say that would lessen your pain of losing Aasav. He must have been a very special son and a very special brother because he had a very strong and loving family. Listening to you all talk about Aasav has given us a glimpse of a very thoughtful, loving and intelligent young man who may have lived a short life but has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will always be in our memory.

Our hearts are broken, my eyes fill with tears as I write this.
There just are no words. I have known Aasav since the boys were in middle school together, he was more than just a best friend to my son he was a role model. Aasav, we have watched you grow up from the first day of your life when we held you in our arms at the hospital. You have been an great friend and confidante for Ashwin. Over the years, we have shared your academic and extracurricular accomplishments with great pride. We are going to miss your sense of humor, your brilliant mind and your gentle demeanor. You wanted to take a year off to explore the world, but it looks like now your travel is extending to other worlds. You are leaving a void that will be hard to fill for all of us, especially for your parents and sister. You will always live forever in our memories.

No parent or sister deserve what your family is going through. Although we did not know Aasav personally we were told of what a wonderful son, brother and human being he was.
Words can't express our sorrow . We can only pray that the family can find the strength to bear this tragic loss and cherish him with wonderful memories of him forever. God bless.

Aasav, when you had just started middle school your mom and dad drove you to my home for tabla lessons. You were so shy that I had to ask them if you ever looked up. Your lessons initiated our family friendship which continues to this day. I always thought of you as a very quiet, obedient, mature, kind, thoughtful and smart kid who achieved so much in such little time. We will miss you dearly and pray for your family.

Aasav joined my team at Microsoft 2 years ago from UW. He was very intelligent and level headed which is a rare combination. I remember and cherish the time I worked with him on a tough assignment in his first year. He had very good grasping ability and he came up with extraordinary solutions to hard problems.
Aasav had very deep perspectives and maturity at a young age. He was a role model for new college graduates in the team. In his short tenure, he has had an everlasting impact. Our team cannot come to terms with this loss. There are so many memories; board game fridays and lunch time talks will never be the same again. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and the family.

Aasav was 10 years old when I visited him at his home to meet his father. Aasav and his sister were one of the few very well brought up kids I have ever met.
It is deeply tragic and no parent should go through this.
May god be with your son, Alok and Prachee and with you and little Anusha at this testing time. I will say a prayer for your son today.

Really sad and shocking to hear of Aasav's passing. Although we never met, we knew of you and your achievements in school, university, graduation and a great start to a promising career - all from a doting father. Really tragic that it was cut short so abruptly, at such a young age. I can't begin to imagine how shattered your family must be feeling at this time. Heartfelt condolences to Alok and family. You will always continue to live in the collective memories of your family and everyone you touched. Rest in peace.
