Abby Gail Whited Brewster

Abby Gail Whited Brewster, age 39, of Cedar Bluff, Va., passed away Tues., May 5, 2009 in a Charlottesville, Va., following a brief illness. She was born in Richlands, Va., and was the daughter of Bill and Hazel Baldwin Whited of Pine Creek, Va. She was a graduate of Honaker High School and SVCC and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Bluefield College. She was a former payroll clerk for Ramey Ford of Tazewell, Va. Abby was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Annie Baldwin; and her paternal grandmother, Dulcie Whited. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: her loving husband of 16 years, Keith Brewster of Cedar Bluff, Va.; her parents: Bill and Hazel Whited of Pine Creek, Va.; her daughter, Emily Dawn Brewster of Cedar Bluff, Va.; her sons, Jeffrey Aaron Brewster, Billy Monroe Brewster, and Zachary Keith Brewster of Cedar Bluff, Va., Robbie Elder and fiancée, Nikki, of Doran, Va.; sisters, Angela Beavers of Pine Creek, Va., Pattie Hale of Fort Mill, S.C.; paternal grandfather, Walter Whited of Roanoke, Va.; one grandchild, Shianna Elder of Doran, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive her. Funeral services for Abby Gail Brewster were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sat., May 9, 2009 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, with the Rev John Baldwin and Rev. Paul Baldwin officiating. Interment followed at the Richardson Family Cemetery on Horton Ridge near Raven, Va. Pallbearers were Lynn Clark, Jeffrey "Peanut" Hugart, Wayne Hugart, Shawn Fields, Cory Hale and Steve Beavers. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Beavers and Vern Curtis Beavers. Friends called from 6 – 9 p.m. on Fri. evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va.
