I am so saddened to learn of this loss. A memory I have of Hamid is him sitting next to me at a Tibetan Monk Meditation Retreat. At lunch time he went out and made color copies (no small expense!) of a particular mandala for everyone (no small attendance!) at the retreat. A big generous heart, and an eloquent soul. I am sad that our meditation paths will not cross again.

Hamid, my former office mate, I will always remember your conversations with students. Your passion for teaching and life went far beyond the classroom. Others have captured your humanistic spirit in their postings. I'll remember your visit to my home and will cherish my bottle of pear-in-the-bottle wine! Peace, my friend

To the family of Hamid Hamoudi,
I am so very sorry for your loss. We who worked with him shared just a small part of his life, but I found in Hamid a warm and gentle heart, a care for others and a sense of great joy in life. I will miss his emails and his joy in little things. He passed from our lives too soon and he has left a hole in the heart of our college. May you find comfort in your memories and those of Hamid's colleagues.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my colleague and friend, Hamid. He was one of the most generous people I've ever met...offering much to others while expecting nothing in return. Peace be with you, Hamid.
Mimi and family - my heartfelt condolences are with you at this time. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Dear Mimi,
I am sad by the loss of a great man. I owe so much to him; wisdom, joy, insightfulness and the many diet cokes he left on my desk. Hamid was full of life and he knew how to enjoy every minute. I have the wonderful memories of the times we spent together and I hope they keep you through this difficult time.
Hamid I will miss you, my friend.

Hamid's sensitivity to the human condition always impressed me when we met on the CRC campus over the years. The insights he shared from living in different parts of the world were often humorous, and always thought-provoking. The smile may have gone, but sound of the laugh will always be a favorite memory.

Hamid was a shining light in my day. We visited together many times and each time I walked away a better person for his wisdom, humor, and joy for life. He will be missed. I am honored to have known him. To his family: you're in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincere sympathies to the Hamoudi family. Hamid and I started working at CRC the same semester. Although I am not an instructor and I did not see him very often, I have vivid memories of how jovial he was at our orientation. He was full of life and he will surely be missed.

Buddy Hamid, it was just too soon for you to go. There's still many unfinished things that we had forthcoming: life, business, and most importantly friendship. I give you many thanks for allowing to be a part of your life for the last 3 years. I've learned from your great adventures, your vision, and your passion of what you and I were going to accomplish through the grand vision of the pear orchards and the business. If only I was able to do more to help. I never imagined that you'll leave so soon. Now that chapter must close and we must move on. To a BETTER LIFE. Hamid was always a bright cheery face to interact with at school. One time, in November, 2002, he sent me a link to a web site in an email he called: This is Beautiful. I was still grieving the loss of my wife of 30 years, and Hamid's email was very helpful in my healing process. I still keep that email on my desktop and view it occasionally to remind myself of its message. I will always remember Hamid fondly.

Salaam aleukum, Hamid,
You will be missed so much. The sound of your laughter was always welcome, and I enjoyed so much our conversations in crossing at the duplicating center, as well as your wonderful e-mails about great places (palaces!) where faculty could vacation... if only in our minds.
To your family... may you know that your husband and father made a very important contribution to Cosumnes River College. Remember his smiles.
Salaam,
Chris Wagner

Hamid's death is a tragic loss. I enjoyed his friendship in our time together at Cosumnes River College. His illness and death were so untimely- he had much to share with his students. My heart goes out to you all.

To the family of Hamid Hamoudi,
It is with great sorrow that I learned of the death of Hamid. I am a colleague of his at Cosumnes. Though we were in different departments and on different sides of campus his presence and vivacity was a part of my campus life. I knew him for his wonderful voice, his enthusiasm, his wit and his ready smile. He was always ready to engage anyone in spirited conversation and provoking discourse.
I extend my sincere and deep condolences to his family for their very great loss.
Sincerely,
Patricia Wall

Tassadit,
My heart is crying for you. I don't know if you remember me, we met at the NC5 dinner about 4 or 5 years ago. I was the fat blonde. That night I fell in love/like with your husband. He had the warmest personality I had ever met. It always made me feel good when I would run into him on campus, which was not often enough. He will be missed here at CRC just as he will be missed by you and your family. One of God's beautiful lights just went out.

I had the chance to talk to him a few times although not as much as I shoud have and he left with me memories of a man with a great sensitivity to human issues. I pray that he'll find peace in the world beyond and express my deepest condoleances to the people he left behind.
