SILVERMAN, Abe Peacefully in his eighty-second year, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Husband of Ida Olioff. Son of the late Joseph and the late Eva Silverman. Devoted father and father-in-law of Gerry and Dina, Eva and Louise. Cherished grandfather of Mark Silverman, Shari and David Romer, Jessica Silverman, Joshua and Amelie Schwartz, and Matthew Silverman. Proud great-grandfather of Megan, Shayna and Lane Browning. Predeceased by his brother Solly, sisters, Marion Kauffman, Ray Gatis, Minnie Yuck, and brothers-in-law, Max and Sam Olioff. Brother-in-law of Benny Yuck and Minnie Silverman. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of ICU at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagadol Section, de la Savane. Due to the festival of Passover, shiva commences Tuesday evening, April 6, through Sunday evening, April 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Contributions in Abe's memory may be made to the ICU c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.
