Pensacola - 1999-2018
Abel Elijah Kane, born 11/30/1999 of Pensacola, passed tragically on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Abel was a loving, compassionate, gentle soul. He had a passion for soccer, the beach, wildlife and the outdoors. He had a heart of gold, which he shared with anyone he met! He is known for the smile that would light up a room.
He is survived by his father, Brad Kane and family: Bambi, Dalton, Chloe and Ariana; his grandparents Bill & Dolores Kane, Aunt Dawn Kane & fiancé Stephen Bridgman, great grandparents Evelyne Dorman Hise and Bill Hise; his mother, Mercedes Membrado, sisters: Bailey Diamond, Leigh, Unique Treasure, Serenity and his brother Cash; great grandfather Danny Membrado, Aunt Sissy; cousins D. J., Nick & Dutsch and so many more relatives and all of his dear friends and beloved dog Tilley.
Abel was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Peggy & Jack Kane, Barbara & James Kersey, Billy Dorman and Alice Elmtioui; great aunt Margaret Asselin, uncle David Dorman and close family friend Uncle Craig Archer.
Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a visitation on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, immediately followed by a service. A graveside service and interment will take place on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I know this is late but I still think of Abel I knew him when I worked with his grandmother at the dental office 2007-2009 and I love the days that he came in after school. He always had a ginormous smile that made you smile no matter how bad a day you were having. He lit up every room he was a prankster and a magician. He was clever and beautiful and he is still deeply missed.

We were blessed to have known Abel . He was such a happy child and had would have everyone in the room smiling and laughing with him. We think of him every day and his wonderful family. I can't begin to express the sympathy for you all. I've met Mr. Kane once . He come to pick Abel up for a father son fishing trip. He was loved so much!

There are no words that could possibly touch the magnitude of this loss. I knew Abel as a child and had the great fortune of getting to spend time with him. He lit up the room with his smile, playfulness, and kindness. I knew his grandfather well. My heart is filled with sorrow for your family. I hope that together through time you can find a place of normalcy and solace.

I had the joy of teaching and working with Abel this past year in high school. I loved spending time with him daily! His glistening eyes and big smile would light up the room when he walked in!! I was heartbroken when I heard this news; he was too young, had so much life yet to live! He is now at peace, lighting up heaven with those eyes and smile! God bless each of you, his parents, siblings and family! He was a fine young man and a joy and blessing to me each day. My prayers are with you in the days to follow.

I was very saddened to hear about Abel's death. I knew him as a child, but I grew to know him with fondness as I talked to him on the phone while he was sitting with his great-aunt, Marj Asselin, who was a very dear friend of mine. He was always so kind, caring and good to her, and I know she really loved him. I would like to extend my condolences to his grandparents, Bill and Dolores, and all of his family for their loss.

We are deeply sadden by the untimely passing of Abel. We knew him as a youngster and enjoyed seeing him come through the orchestra practice room at Marcus Pointe with a big smile and a hug for us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Abel. My heartfelt condolences to Abel’s family and friends. I had the joy of teaching him for part of the year way back when he was in second grade at Hellen Caro Elementary during my student teaching. I remember how he was always such a sweet, happy boy, and how he had the biggest, cutest smile that would brighten anyone’s day. I am truly sorry for your loss, I know he will be missed dearly.
