It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart to say good bye to our beloved Abigail Michelle Hill who passed away on November 12, 2022.
Our beautiful, fearless, and adventure loving girl was taken from us a lifetime too soon. She lived more life in her 25 years than some who lived to be 100 years old. Abby graduated from Traverse City West High School in 2015, and Northwood University in Midland Michigan 2019. Abigail was Manager of Customer Success at OnDefend. The impact she made while at the company will be lasting. She was the light of inspiration, determination and love that deeply touched those around her. She loved to travel and spend time with her two dogs.
She is survived by: her father, Michael Hill and stepmother, Mary Stoops; mother, Rebecca Curtis and stepfather, Anthony Curtis; sister, Sarah Dettloff; brother, Alexander Curtis; sister, Kianna Curtis; great grandmother, Edith Hill; grandparents, Stanley and Rhonda Hill, Sharon and Dave Finnila, Bruce and Ann Wanless, and Donna and Eric Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. She is also survived by: boyfriend, Aaron Hinkle and her two dogs, Arthur and Aiden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home.
The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.

This still seems unreal. I miss you, Abby. I may not have known you the longest time, but our friendship was the most genuine one I’ve encountered. We immediately called each other best friends even though we lived on opposite sides of the country. The first time we met, I remember calling each other our soulmates because we clicked so well and knew we would be friends for life. You made me more adventurous and courageous to do and experience new things. I couldn’t wait for the day Sadie, you and I all lived on the same side of the country and hung out all the time. We had a lot of plans for our futures and it’s hard to know these plans won’t look the same. I will love you always and I know you’ll stay with me forever. Thank you for the friendship you gave me, Abby.
Love you forever,
Kelsey Tryon

While Abigail’s tenure at OnDefend was not long, the impact she made on our company will be lasting. Abigale was a light of inspiration, determination, and love that deeply touched the people around her. Her energy and enthusiasm made our world a better place and now we must look to the heavens to remember and honor her legacy.

Abby,
I always saw us growing old together sipping wine and floating in the pool while our pups ran around us and the boys watching football and smoking meat on the grill. I planned for us to move to Colorado and live across the street and go see the red rock shows and walk around farmers markets. The doggie cousins at the parks all across the country making new friends. You were really a once in a lifetime friend and I’m gonna miss you every time I go to the park, plan a holiday event, or even just going to brunch. There was so much we will never get to do in person but I know you’ll always be with me cracking jokes and laughing at everything the dogs and boys do. I love you and I’m so thankful you were in my life.
All my love, Sadie

Abby,
My heart is so heavy for your family, for Aaron, and for your circle of friends. It will be impossible to forget how radiantly happy you always were and how much you brought smiles to the faces of everyone around you, usually just by flashing your own beautiful smile!
I remember dancing with you on the beach in Jax while everyone probably thought we were weird at best. Now it's a memory I'll always cherish.
Rest in peace, you are deeply missed.

A tragic loss is an understatement.
Abigail, I knew we would get along from the moment we met. Your drive, perseverance, and overall kindness drew me to you instantly. I can speak on behalf of all of OnDefend to say you will be dearly missed. We talked so much about the future of this company together and how excited we were to watch it grow. I am at a loss that we will not be able to do that together, but I will strive for greatness in your honor. You will be deeply missed.

Woweee where do I start? I don’t think I ever thought about a life without Abby. I kinda assumed I might end up working right by her side one day and resuming the spontaneous life we had in college. Though I may not get that, I do find great solace in the fact that I know you’re laughing it up in the great beyond raving your lil heart away, i’m sure. You really were full of life, love and laughter. The best qualities someone could have and I am forever thankful that you chose to stop and talk to me that day outside your apartment door. Thank you for entering my life and leaving an everlasting impact.

Abby, you will be missed by so many people. Working with you and sitting next to you was always so much fun. So many laughs in a short time frame. I was looking forward to hearing about how great you were doing at OnDefend. Reading this hurts. My prayers and condolence are with your family and you. The Lord is my shepherd, shall not want; he makes me lie down in green pastures.
