Abigail Truitt Obituary
Abigail Truitt, 19, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 in Washington State.
Abigail was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on October 2, 2003. She was a 2022 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School graduating with honors, the seal of biliteracy and completed numerous dual enrollment classes to prepare for college. She danced for four years on the school dance team, the Sweethearts, and with Hallie Marie and Company dance studio. Abigail enjoyed working for two years with the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Summer program. After high school, she moved to Washington to pursue a career in the medical field. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, along with playing board games, dancing, baking and babysitting. She also enjoyed being in nature and will be remembered as a wonderful artist.
She is survived by her mother, Teri Truitt and her husband Wilson Truitt Jr.; brothers, Zachry Sugandi all of Lake Charles, LA and Roman Truitt of Pensacola, FL; grandparents, Nhan Nguyen of Lake Charles, Susan Truitt of DeRidder, LA, and Wilson Truitt, Sr. of Lawtell, LA; aunts, Angela Tran of Portland, OR and Rachel Truitt of DeRidder, LA; along with numerous other family members and friends that loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life to honor Abigail will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA. Father Whitney Miller will officiate. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at 8:00 AM until the time of services, with a second rosary to begin at 8:30 AM.

I never met Abbi in person, but have known her mom for many years. Terri loved her daughter more than words and was incredibly proud of all her accomplishments. She loved running all over to be present for her daughter's activities.
I can't imagine the sadness in her heart and in the hearts of her family and friends who love her so much. I wish we never had to feel this. I pray for your comfort during this time and for peace.
