those who serve others for the sake of giving without thinking of the rewards, just doing their duty, receive the highest blessings naturally from the Almighty.

Growing up in Chicago, I must have heard Dr. Velkoff's name at least a thousand times; every time that my mother OBM told of her pregnancy with me. Already then 40 years old, herself a child of the depression and of diseases that we no longer see, she had given birth prematurely, then had a miscarriage, and then began her complicated pregnancy carrying me. Always, she began her telling praise by reliving the moment that Dr. Velkoff asked her if she was willing to follow all of his orders, and she promised. So she was bedridden (without bathroom privileges) for more than 7 months, and Dr. Velkoff came out once (and sometimes twice) each day to examine her, give her daily injections, and give her encouragement. I was the result; a healthy full term baby. Subsequently she had three late-term miscarriages, the third when she was 50. Hearing her praises for Dr. Velkoff, I had always imagined that he was already near retirement at my birth. Now, I realise that she was always blessing him and praying for his continued good health; until her own conscious passing (at almost 101) which happened 9 October 2015. Should any of his family be in Jerusalem, then perhaps I could have the honor to share more with them. May his memory be a blessing upon all of you!

How can I express the blessing Dr Velkoff was to me & my family
I have a handsome 47 year old son and a beautiful 41 year old daughter because of him
It was not an easy path for us . Our son was our 6th pregnancy and first to term. Our daughter our 11th
And without Dr Velkoff it wouldn't have been possible
I know he leaves a great void in your lives and you will miss him but know how many, many lives and joys live today because of him
Thank you for allowing him to bless us.
