Ackie Denton Rosenbalm BRISTOL, Va. Ackie Denton Rosenbalm, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1938, to the late Dan Denton and Ethel Cross Denton. She was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and worked for LaQuinta Inns. Ackie was a member of Revival Center Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Monroe Rosenbalm Sr.; by seven brothers; and nine sisters. Survivors: son, Manuel Rosenbalm Jr. and Sharon Pepper; daughter, Robin Childers and husband Mike; grandchildren, Brittany Rosenbalm, Keri Childers, Michael Childers; Sharon Pepper's daughter, Sydney Pepper; sisters, Charlotte Montgomery and husband David, Nancy Barker and husband Jack, Willie French and husband Robert; brother, Carson Denton and wife Edna; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Denton and Rev. Lyons Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Denton Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. Pallbearers will be Manuel Rosenbalm Jr., Mike Childers, Brian Barker, Jack Barker Jr., Mike Montgomery and Travis Montgomery.
