Adam Blaylock

Adam "Bum Bum" Blaylock, 22, of Moline, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill. Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sherrard, Ill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to an education fund for Adam’s son, Peyton.
Adam was born Feb. 12, 1981, in Moline, to Richard and Sandra (Stanley) Blaylock.
Adam worked as a journeyman apprentice sheetmetal worker with Local Union No. 91 in Rock Island. He was working at Schebler’s in Davenport and was a model with OTM in Davenport.
Adam enjoyed drawing and painting and won several awards in art in the New Windsor Rodeo and in high school. His interests also included following the Chicago Bears, boating and fishing.
Survivors include his son, Peyton Blaylock, Moline; fiancée, Shephanie Williamson, Moline; parents, Richard and Sandy Blaylock, Sherrard; sister, Tina (Todd) Stiles, Moline; brother, Sgt. Rick Blaylock, Fort Benning, Ga.; paternal grandmother, Modie Blaylock, Milan; maternal grandmother, Maxine (James) Pettit, Edgington, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alvin Blaylock and Donald Stanley.
