Adam Boan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 31, 2021.
Adam Michael Boan, of Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 31, 2021. He was 23 years old. He was a loving Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, and Friend. Adam was born on Sunday, October 12, 1997, and although he was born with a Congenital Heart Defect, he never let that slow him down or hold him back. Adam survived two heart surgeries by the time he was 15 months old, and had been on the move ever since. Adam was the kind of child that could easily make friends with anyone, and could always bring a smile to your face. As a child, he played little league sports, T-ball and Soccer, for the local recreation centers and was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America. As an adolescent, he discovered a love of video games, and as a teenager he developed an even bigger passion, his love of sports – especially Football. During his time in William H. Loesche Elementary and C.C.A. Baldi Middle Schools, Adam began cultivating friendships that would grow into lifelong bonds. Adam was a graduate of George Washington High School, Class of 2016. While at GWHS, he was a member of the National Honor Society and DECA, which is where he cemented many of those tight bonds. Adam's biggest legacy is that, while he couldn't play football, his love of the sport led him to create the George Washington Fantasy Football League (GWFFL), of which he was the Commissioner. While in High School, Adam started working at a Non-Profit Organization, Kensington CCID, where he was still currently employed as an essential part of the Information Technology team. Throughout his short lifetime, Adam would gladly participate in various studies for the Cardiac Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He believed that was important and his way of giving back and making a difference; he knew that it would not make a difference in his story, but that the research conducted could help kids with heart conditions like him have even better outcomes in the future. Adam is survived by his beloved parents, Michael and Michelle (Delaney), his loving sister Sara, his grandparents John and Judy Delaney, Richard Lulejian, his aunts and uncles Carol Hecht (Josh) and Kathryn Hogan (James), Robert Boan (Lois), Phyllis Pedrogo, Shirley Walker, Donna Haines and Delores Coyle (Mike). Also surviving are many, many cousins. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy Boan and Kathleen Lulejian. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Adam's Life Celebration Saturday, April 17, 2021 starting 12:30 PM and to participate in his service 2:00 PM at Craft/Givnish of Abington, 1801 Old York Rd. Abington, PA 19001.. Interment private. Michael, Michelle and Sara ask that you wear your favorite sports jersey to commemorate Adam. Services will be live streamed on Craft/Givnish Facebook page starting at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions in Adam's memory to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Cardiac Center - Single Ventricle Program would be appreciated by his family. https://www.facebook.com/donate/173047047992689/To share your fondest memories of Adam visit www.lifecelebration.com

Adam and I work together as coworkers, I joined the our nonprofit organization approximately eight months ago. Adam was the one that registered me and other coworkers on the last day of our training and orientation.
He thought us the company network (MITC) and took our pictures. His presentation was very unique and precise. He was a very gentle soul. When ever I called the IT department on many occasions and asked for Adam, he patiently listened to me on the phone and assisted me in such a polite manner. Adam was a gentle soul he will me be missed. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Dear Michael and Michelle:
Adam and I worked together. He was one of kind. He treated everyone he met with unbelievable consistency. We grew together as a team and his presence consistent and calming. His growth amazing sight over the past few years. I was the emotional one while Adam calm, cool and in control.
Having Adam a blessing for our Nonprofit team; as he complemented our mission in the way he went about living his life. He forever my friend and teamate. I pray he rest in peace. We would like to hopefully memoralize him here in someway here at our office. Keep everyone posted.
