Adam Dean Obituary
Adam was born on December 29, 1969 in Scottsdale, AZ, to Jack L. Dean and Charlyn Johnston Dean. He graduated from Torrey Pines High School (San Diego, CA) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at University of California – Santa Barbara. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from University of San Francisco.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, Adam enjoyed a distinguished career in financial services, including VP – Capital Markets at Wells Fargo, President & Co-Founder at SVB Asset Management, President & CEO at Arboretum Asset Management, President & Co-Founder at Square 1 Bank, Principal at Ravix Group, and Co-Founder & COO at Jewel Bank.
Adam had a deep love of learning, a passion for reading, a goofy joy in trying to speak new languages, and an endless curiosity for the world. He always chose the backroads and the paths less traveled with a quick wit, a warm smile and a spirit of adventure. And most importantly, he carried a profound desire to become a father – and to be the best, most fun-loving dad he could possibly be.
Adam is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jake. He is survived by his former wife, Amy Federline Dean, and his beloved daughters Natalie and Kate Dean. Adam's family and friends wish to acknowledge Kay Evans and Tommy Gibson of Bellingham, WA, for the tender care and loving support they provided Adam.
