In summer 1970, Adam and Greta hosted my friend Stan Goral and me in their home. We were students from Glasgow, Scotland on vacation and Adam gained temporary jobs for us at DeVilbiss sheet metal. What a wonderful, powerful, humorous and humane man! Greta and he looked after us superbly. Many happy memories. RIP Adam.

I just went on my E-Mail today and read about Adam. I was so sorry to hear
this sad news. I know how loved he was by his family and also his
Local 292 family. I am very happy that I had a chance to know him during the
years I spent working in Local 292's Office. I always enjoyed it when he would
bring in smoked fish into the office for us.

To Margaret..we are so sorry for your loss. I am so happy that you cared for your dad, daily, during his final year. You created many memories to carry you through the tough times, but just knowing you were there for your Dad will help. Your last words to him " Goodnight Dad, I love you " and he responded " I love you too". You are such a great daughter, everyone should be as lucky as your Dad. So happy you shared his final year. Love you!!!

Adam (Dad) you truly were a one of a kind and a tough man! I am thankful I had the pleasure and was fortunate enough to get thru the "Old School Scottish" in you and see a real, intelligent, trusting and giving man who was at times tough but that was who you were and will always be because you were a realist and brilliant man, for that I thank you. I am so very grateful and thankful of having the chance to be there for you. and you for us. I miss our evening dinners talking about the good old days you had they were some of my favorite times and will never be forgotten. You influenced my life and raised a brilliant son along with Greta. I know you are now at PEACE with her and that makes my sadness turn into sunshine. One day we will meet again but before that day comes I promise you, your son will be happy! Condolences to all of us who knew the man that I knew and you were a "pistol" with a loving heart and I thank you for opening that heart and welcoming me with trust into your family, that meant and will always be something I will treasure every day. Our memories will never be forgotten......sent with much love and sunshine
