Adam was born in Francestown on February 17, 1981, the son of Pamela A. Nation and Robert C. Ames. He was a 1999 graduate of ConVal High School and a 2005 graduate of Plymouth State College. He was a member of the lacrosse team at Conval and enjoyed skating, snowboarding, music, reading, and the out-of-doors. He was employed by Rob Ames Carpentry and was the owner and operator of “It’s All Good Hotdogs” in the Hampton Beach area.

He is survived by his parents of Francestown; a brother, Jesse, of Missoula, Montana; the love of his life, Allison M. Adam loved and enjoyed a multitude of cousins: Carrie, Sara, Beth, Craig, Chris, Denise, Andrew, Matthew, Ellery, Mason, Blair, Aidan, Liam, and Alex. He also leaves the Farrell family of Connecticut and an enormous wealth of friends whom he loved and honored and who in turn loved him and will forever carry his torch.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008, at The Old Meeting House in Francestown, New Hampshire, beginning at 1 PM. Reverend Chris Bowen will officiate.

Dear All, thank you for your expressions of love for our dear son, Adam, and for your support of our family. As you can imagine, we miss him terribly and mourn his passing daily. Never to see that smile again, or get one of his big hugs. If you have an Adam story to share, I would love to read it. Please keep him in your heart for me. Love, Pam

I just heard about your families loss and I'm so very sorry. I knew Adam growing up in high school and I always thought that he would go on and do great things in life. I'm happy to know that he touched so many people in his short time with us.

To Adam's family-- I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Adam quite well during college, and always managed to run into him once in a while in the years after. He was a great person, and a joy to be around. He will be missed very much.

Pam and family,
Though I have only had the privilege of getting to know you recently, you spoke so fondly of your boys. Having two boys of my own, I feel a deep connection and I am so truely sorry. The wonderful energy that you have given me I hope fills you and your family with all the love you need to make it through this time. My heart and thoughts are with whole family.

Pam and Rob and Jesse and the rest of Adam's friends and family; as well as others he leaves behind...

I was very saddened to hear of Adam's death, he was a great guy and a strong person. I send you my love and light in this very tough time. I saw Adam again randomnly a couple years back, in LA of all places; it just goes to show that the Monadnock region represents well in all walks and areas of life, and Adam was a fine representative of all the qualities that make that area wonderful... my thoughts and prayers are with the Nation Ames' and extended family.

To Adam's Family,
Allison was our babysitter for years and she continues to be family in spite of the distance. When Adam came with Allison to watch our four kids, they always knew they were in for some serious fun; Heaven started having a little more fun when Adam arrived. He was a joy.
