Addison Combs Obituary

Addison Gabriella Combs Addison Gabriella Combs, one month old infant daughter of Robert and Tiffany Helton Combs of Honaker, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in Johnson City Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Parker Gavin Combs, on Oct. 6, 2009. In addition to her parents, survivors include her paternal grandparents, Charlie Combs of Council and Betty Combs of Honaker; maternal grandparents, Rick and Patricia Helton of Council; paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Taylor of Honaker; maternal great-grandmother, Sue Keene of Council; one aunt, Robin Bandari of Richmond; one uncle, Joshua Tiller and wife Shelley of Bee; two cousins, Hailey Tiller and Owen Tiller of Bee; special friends, Mel, Kim, and Trevor Counts and Mark and Kay Stevens; a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, extended family and friends also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Shah and all the staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Johnson City Medical Center and to all of those who have prayed and offered other acts of kindness during the past months. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday at Swords Creek Community Baptist Church, Swords Creek, Va., with Rev. Chris Musick and Rev. Giles Ball officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Va. Pallbearers will be Thomas Harris and Chris Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Hailey Tiller, Owen Tiller, Dru-Ann Harris, and Ashby Harris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House, 418 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604; or March of Dimes 10128 Suite A West Broad St., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Honaker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
