Jim, Vera, and John words can not express the sadness of the passing of a loved one but remember the love, smiles, good times, and know that you will all be united one day. May the Good Lord hold you in his arms and comfort you and shine his face upon the family and bring you peace.

Vera, Jim, and John...I was saddened to read about your mother's passing however
hers was a life well lived and you shall
see her again! God comfort and keep all
of you until you meet again! The scripture comes to mind "Who can find
a virtuous woman for her price is far
above rubies." "Her children shall arise and call her Blessed." How privileged all of you and my brothers and me were to have mothers of great
virtue.

On behalf of Women Veterans of Louisiana, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ms. Adele Dykes Dyer, U.S. Army WAC, WWII veteran.
Here is a poem that we honor our women of military:

She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
She proudly served
The Red, White and Blue

She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
Without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly

She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served our great country
With the men alongside

We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job "well done"

And so, "Our Dear Sister"
We salute you today
A special soldier laid to rest
In this quiet, solemn way.
