I am from Texas and only know your Mother through the words of her obituary. What an uplifting, stunning memoir of a lady who must have had a great impact on her family and all those who knew her. I am a retired journalist who began my career writing obituaries. The one of Adele Korte is the best I have seen, capturing the spirit of the unique lady in just a few words. I thank my internet friend in Montreal for letting me see it. Peace, L. Williams, San Antonio, TX

Adele and Johan were very close to the Kelly family in Montreal. We were so saddened to hear about your mum's death but what a way to go! Just like her.

Heidi and Nancie:
My heart goes out to you, your sisters and the entire Korte family. Your Mom's obituary is one of the most beautiful I have ever read, and tells the story of a kind, thoughtful adventurer whose life was filled with love and wonderful memories. My thoughts are with you.

Its obvious by the many rememberances posted in this Guest Book that your Mother was a fantastic Person. My most recent contact was at Johans Wake. She took the time to sit with me and we had a fantastic conversation re: Johans life. I had the great pleasure of working with your Dad in Quebec , Ontario, And Saudi.
They sure were a well suited couple.

To all the daughters and their families,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. Adele was one of our favourite people -- always friendly, full of fun and good stories (we never laughed so much and they were all true!!). She always looked on the bright side of life and was an all round good person. What an inspiration to the rest of us! Now she will be with Johan again. We will always remember her with fondness.

Dear Nancy, Lou, Johanne, Karen, and Heidi: So sorry to hear of your recent loss. I hope that you are all doing as well as can be expected during this difficult time. Knowing your family it is certainly fitting that she died while packing the car to go skiing.
Yours truly,
Lucile Wheeler-Vaughan

I was very saddened to hear about Adele. My thoughts are with Adele's family. I can remember ski racing in The Laurentians with Adele many winters ago. She was always a friendly and gracious competitor. Sincerely. Lucile Wheeler Vaughan
