Adeline V. Citro Tolmie, 91 years old, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilmington, on July 25, 1926, Adeline (Addie) was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Johanna (Christiana) Citro. Adeline was a graduate of the first class of St. Elizabeth HS in 1944, served on the debate team, and was Class Valedictorian. She worked for Atlas Powder Co. While at Atlas, Adeline met her future husband and the love of her life, Wellington Tolmie. Adeline and Wellington were married in 1948 and celebrated 52 years of marriage. Her beloved Wellington passed away in 2000.

Adeline's main priority was raising her family and she cherished the time she spent with them. Adeline was an incredible wife, Mother, Grammy, and Great Grandmother (GG). "Sweet Adeline" will be dearly missed by all and will be in our hearts forever.

Adeline was the 11th of 12 children and was the sister of the late Vincent Shavico, Grace Shavico Sanzone, Amos Shavico, Josephine Citro Drupieski, Albert Citro, Charles Citro, John Citro, Madelyn Citro McCullin, Marie Citro Hall.

She is survived by her sister Terry Citro Phillips of Wilmington and her brother, Angelo (Bucky) T. Citro of North Carolina. Adeline is survived by her children, Stephen A. Tolmie, Sr. (Marty) of Newark, Christopher J. Tolmie of Wilmington, M. Joanne Reverdito (Ronald) of Rehoboth, Terry M. McMahon (Gregory) of Chester Springs, PA, Andrea T. Reynolds (Charles DeTurk) of Newark, and predeceased by her daughter, Suzanne Tolmie Woolsey, who passed away in 1995; 14 grandchildren, Stephen A. Tolmie, Jr., Craig J. Tolmie, Ronald A. Reverdito, Amanda Tolmie Moore, Vincent M. Reverdito, Angela L. Woolsey, Nicholas G. Reverdito, Dylan T. Woolsey, Jennifer A. Reverdito, Michael A. Reverdito, Natalie M. Reynolds, Sean G. McMahon, Andrew J. Reynolds, Jason C. McMahon and 15 great grandchildren. She had numerous nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, Clayton and Cedar Streets, where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11:45 AM. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
