We met in first grade. I was the new kid, my parents moved to Batesville. He was the class talker. The teacher moved him from his crew and made him sit by me as a means of punishment. As the new kid I wasn't well liked. Starting that day we became life long friends.
Remember!! As 9th graders, we were considered future high school potential track stars. The coach told the top senior runner that he wasn´t better than these two incoming 8th graders. Adolphus told me to let him take him on. They ran what was at that time the 100 yards dash(today the 100 meters). My boy was wearing suspenders. When the whistle blew one of his straps pop loose. He held it with one hand and won the race; True Story. He was the fastest track person I´d ever seen. I remember the time that he and I were ran out of the girls dormitory at Mississippi Valley State University. We carried a couple of former schoolmates back to campus from a weekend visit. We decided to go up to there room when we should have stop in the lobby. The Dorm mother didn´t take that so kindly. We both were monitors in high school.
There are so many stories that I have memories of. Due to unforeseen family emergency I will not be able to travel there for his home-going.
My condolences, I send to the family during their period of bereavement.

I will never forget our talks, our laughs, our memories. Reading over our million texts and photos of your grandkids I sent. I miss you!! Blood couldn´t have made us any closer. Thank you for being the best papa to my kids and the best father figure to me. I´m going to miss debating with you and watching the crazy stuff shows with you. You always showed up for us and I will forever be grateful for you. Almost 22 years of knowing you wasn´t long enough. We miss & love you AD.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Donna and the entire Love family. Adolph and I share some great and fond memories. He was not just my first cousin but another big brother to me. I am truly saddened by his passing, but I know that when God calls us home, it is time to go. I pray for strength for the family during this time, GOD BLESS you all!!
