Adrienne Phillips Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 5, 2023.
PHILLIPS, Adrienne "Nickee" Niccole, On December 7, 2022, Nickee passed unexpectedly in her home located in Tucson, Arizona. Nickee was born February 7, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia. She was a proud graduate of Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chester, Virginia. She then went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Nickee will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and huge loving heart. She had a beautiful spirit and consistently found ways to make everyone around her better than she found them. She could easily find ways to make you laugh, even when it wasn't appropriate. Nickee was an avid reader and strived to better herself spiritually and mentally. Her favorite color was pink. She loved plants of all types, but especially loved orchids and peonies. Her green thumb was represented in every room of the house. She loved Virginia Tech football, the Philadelphia Eagles and any sports team on which her kids played.

Hummingbirds held a special place in her heart and she loved sitting and watching them around her feeders. The one thing that Nickee cherished the most was her kids. Alex and Will were the apples of her eye, and to say they were her pride and joy would be an understatement. The quickest way to make her smile would be to mention her children. She was beyond proud of the amazing adults they have become and cherished every phone call, FaceTime, or minute she got to spend with them. Nothing beat the smile on her face after those interactions. Nickee was a devoted, loyal and loving wife, mom, sister, daughter and friend. She was giving and would do anything to help a loved one in need. She also loved the beach and was perfectly content reading a book by the water, soaking up the sun.

Nickee also adored her fur babies. Tank, Shuggie and Missy were never short of walks, treats, or extended cuddle time.

Nickee was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Ritchie; father, Steven Brown; stepmother, Wanda Brown; and mother-in-law, Debbie Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, Duane Phillips; daughter, Alexandra Glackin (Kristen); granddaughter, Grace Thomas; son, William Glackin; stepfather, Allan Ritchie (Cheryl Bass); brother, Steven Brown (Margie); brother, Brandon Brown (Cathy); sister, Heather Jarratt (John); father-in-law, John Phillips; sister-in-law, Crystal Wilmot (Phil); along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved so very much.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 26, 2023 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Wrexham Hall, 10301 Old Wrexham Rd., Chesterfield, Virginia 23832.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter. Nickee would love and appreciate that.
