A tall beautiful lady has left the room. Born March 6, 1923 she leaves behind a loving family and many special friends from her worldly life. Predeceased by her husband of 59 years Joseph Lionel Roy (2005). Daughter of Verna Hanna Filteau (nee Hamly) and Frederick Frances Filteau. Sister of John Frederick Filteau (1945). Survived by her children John Filteau Roy and fiancé Pikun of Toronto, Peter Lionel Roy and wife Dr. Catherine Eplett of Toronto, Jennifer Elizabeth Smith and husband Dr. Tom Smith of Windsor and Diane Louise Roy of British Columbia. Grandmother of Thomas Lionel Smith and Emily Elizabeth Smith. Aunt of Chery Leigh Suel of Calgary, Alberta. We are grateful for the many years of outstanding care given to our mother by the staff of Banwell Gardens, Seasons Lakeshore, Dr. Ian McLeod, Dr. John Greenaway and Bayshore Health Services for the private care given by Anita. Our "village" of caregivers supported us during this difficult time. Aileen received the best of care and was always treated with respect and dignity. Truly all that anyone could wish for. We are grateful to the support of special friends Beverly and Frederick Knight, and Jean Aceti of Sudbury who visited Aileen often. Final private arrangements are entrusted to

Aileen will rest in Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta where she will be together again with her family and her late husband Lionel. Aileen lived her life large and never cut corners. Her energy and boundless generosity made so many people's lives that much better and that much more enriched. We will miss her and remember her with deep love and happy reflections on all our time together.
