Growing up in Copper Cliff meant you'd be the lucky recipient of Mrs. Roy's generous hospitality. She was especially kind to me when I was very young and my father was ill and hospitalized. Many fond memories of Mrs. Roy driving us everywhere and especially her wonderful welcome to all on many Christmas eves. Thanks for the memories. Lynn (O'Connor) O'Brien, Vancouver BC

I was very sorry to read of your Mom's passing in the Globe and Mail yesterday....thinking about her certainly brought back many memories from our youth in Copper Cliff and of course, of your Mom!......I spoke to my Mom tonight....(she is in the Chartwell in Sudbury)....she also spoke of many memories she has of both your parents, but especially your Mom...she asked me to also send condolences to you all....take care all of you...our thoughts are with you...

My sincere sympathy to the Roy family. I used to babysit for Aileen & Lionel. I still remember the beautiful portrait of her that hung in the livingroom. I was so impressed. Just before she moved from Copper Cliff, I went to her yard sale and bought Diane's CD. It's wonderful and I still play it. Brings back memories.
