Aimee was the soul of hospitality. Life at the school district was so pressure filled that on those rare times when we got away to share fellowship, break bread, and Simply forget about the cares of the day. She opened the doors of the Trujillo home and welcomed us with open arms. She believed And abundance and made sure there was always plenty of good food to eat be it at barbecue or Mexican.
We laughed with her. We talked with her and most importantly, we Confided in her. Our common ground was that we all loved Mr. Trujillo and our goal was to see the school district succeeded for the well-being of The children, we also loved so much. I know God holds you in his loving arms, Aimee.

Mrs Trujillo was a very special lady. I was blessed to get to know her as I worked under Mr Trujillo. She was kind and always saw the good in people. Rest In Peace and prayers for the family. Our father has called another angel to his side.

Aimee you certainly did become the First Lady of YISD once we got to know you. At first most of us were just in awe and somewhat fearful of the new Superintendent’s wife. How could we have known in those early days how much you would come to mean to us? Your friendship and goodwill meant everything to us as we worked together to make the district and our boss successful. It’s always been impossible for me to conceive of a union more perfect than yours with Mr. Trujillo. And it was your choice to put him first in all things that made it so. At this sad moment, having just learned that you left us in October and Christmas is but 5 days away, I can think of only one way in which you may have failed him — you left him way before he was ready. But I’m sure you’re interceding for him on a heavenly plane even now. Love you Aimee. Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye. Lucy

Aimee was a special lady and getting to know her through Tony was a privilege. Her love and support of those of us who worked in the YISD was special because she was a special lady.

Aimee was a very special lady. She was genuine. You always knew that what she said was sincere. She was our friend. She had grace and easily got along with most people. That made her very unique. She will always be fondly remembered. May the Peace of the Lord comfort Tony and her children.
