Alan Cassarino Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 23, 2018.
In Loving Memory of
ALAN ROBERT CASSARINO

Alan Robert Cassarino passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on February 12, 2018 on the same day of his birth at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the son of Michael Robert Cassarino and Kristin Lee (St. Pierre) Cassarino. Alan was the answer to their prayers and they waited for his birth with joyful expectation.

During his brief visit on earth, Alan was held, sung to and deeply loved by his paternal grandparents Robert and Anne (Lucibello) Cassarino of Glastonbury, CT and his maternal grandparents Alan and Brenda (LaBianca) St. Pierre of North Providence, RI. Alan also leaves behind great-grandparents: Frank LaBianca and Estelle (Lefebvre) St. Pierre. He is survived by many aunts and uncles including Patrick and Elaine (Cassarino) Poblocki and Alan and Alexandria (Schmidl) St. Pierre as well as cousins including his first cousin, Eli Poblocki.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, James and Sadie (Alderucci) Cassarino as well as Dominic and Filomena (Rapuano) Lucibello; and maternal great-grandparents Albert St. Pierre and Shirley (Waters) LaBianca.

Alan's parents, Michael and Kristin, extend their sincerest gratitude to their parents, family, friends and colleagues for their ongoing expressions of love and sympathy.

Michael and Kristin would also like to personally thank the following Woman & Infants Hospital staff members for their compassion and support during their difficult stay: Chaplains Caroline Patterson and Helen Bodell who provided spiritual support and Alan's baptism, emergency room nurse "Auntie" Elizabeth, antenatal nurse Julie, all of the labor and delivery nurses including Erin and Trish as well as nurse Mary Ellen who helped deliver Alan with calmness and care. In addition, Michael and Kristin send their eternal gratitude to the Maternal Fetal Medicine team including doctors Beninati, Werner, Theva and others who rallied to support the family in every way possible. Your efforts will never be forgotten.

Alan's parents would be honored if you would support the Women & Infants Hospital program that provides a memory box to families who experience the heartbreak and loss of a baby. Each donation box holds mementos of a baby's brief life such as pictures, blankets, footprints etc. Please make checks out to "Women & Infants Development Foundation" and write "Bereavement Fund" in the check memo line. Please mail checks to:
