Alan Robert Huffman, 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, surrounded by his family and love.

Born on May 2, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Alan was the son of Robert Huffman and Elizabeth Faye (Hicks) Huffman.

As a young man, Alan achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, exemplifying his commitment to hard work. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Alan was a successful business owner, most notably owning and operating the Oyster Bar from 1975 to 1987. His passion for his work was matched by his love for cars and blues music, two hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Deborah; his daughters, Amy Huffman and Julie Bostwick (Jason); and his sister, Judy Finkelstein (Simon).

Per Alan's wishes, no service will be held.

Alan will be remembered for his kind spirit, his devotion to his family, and the legacy of love and memories he leaves behind.

I just heard about Alan's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I have many wonderful memories when Alan, Judy and Faye would visit here in Kansas City . They came every summer to visit Nana and Pop. Happy days, With sincere sympathy, Beth Hicks
