We appreciate so much the times we have spent with Alan and Kathy, Sara, Ashton, Bennett and Margaret and Bill Hyde. How happy to find out that Alan was their son. Margaret, Bill (my husband) and I went to school together in Heber City, Utah . I grew up with Margaret and her family in Midway. We know Alan was a special individual who did made everyone feel like his best friend. We will always remember him with the greatest fondness. Blessings and love to the family. Rose Milliner

Alan, thank you. Thank you for befriending me and thank you for loving my family. My family and I are mourning with your beautiful family today. I wish I could bear their sadness for them...I hope to be able to serve them with what ever they stand in need of. I don't know what to say? The earth lost a true saint today...a sweet spirit that will be greatly missed. I did not fully comprehend the phrase I have heard many times in my life until today, 'The Lord Called Him Home". I only now understand that phrase completely. I know you are with our Lord today and I know he has a great work prepared for you because that is the only reason he would have called you home...he needed you for something specific. I miss you already and I love you...until we meet again.

In an effort to support the Hyde Family, some of his closest friends have set up college savings accounts for each of his three children. While the primary purpose of these accounts is to help with college expenses, Kathy can access them prior to that if she needs to. The money can help the kids get both TO and through college.
Penalties and taxes on early withdrawals from 529 accounts apply ONLY to earnings (i.e. future gains). If Kathy needs to withdraw your original contributions, she will
not be taxed or penalized.
There are no processing fees deducted from your gift. We ask that you consider a contribution in memory of a man who gave so generously to so many throughout his life.

To Alan and his wonderful family, my sincere and heartfelt condolences. I am saddened and sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I got to know Alan in Law School at BYU- I have such fond memories of what a true and kind person he was. Always upbeat and positive -and a sincere and good man. He was great fan and supporter of BYU athletics and I always enjoyed talking sports with him. He will be missed by many--

To Alan and his family. My sincerest condolences. I worked with Alan while at LexisNexis. He came to a couple of VIP Suites at Phoenix Suns Games in the last four or so years. I came to his house once in Carefree. My first cousin Buddy Sanders grew up with Alan in Yuma AZ and went to high school about the same time. And Alan told me he attended BYU law school with Steve Youn and Jim Hermann who both played football at BYU when I attended there. Alan was a great guy, a very good attorney, a nice dad and a family man overall. I loved his loft of all of the BYU photos and how he was able to get Jimmer Fredette's autograph when he attended the BYU awards dinner by standing up and not letting Jimmer go up to the podium until Jimmer signed his autograph for his son. Alan was a great BYU Cougar Supporter and Fan. He will be missed. Sincerely, Rob Standifird, Snowflake (formerly Mesa) AZ.

Of all truly brilliant people, my dear law partner and friend, Alan Kohler Hyde, was the most humble and kind. He had child-like faith in Jesus Christ. He was fiercely loyal. His devotion to God, family and friends was unwavering. I loved him. I will miss him. But I know that he is with us. By faith and a firm mind, ministering angels can attend to us. (Moroni 7:29-30.) He is now one of them.
