Alan Miller Obituary
Alan Benjamin Miller, age 71, of Highland Park, son of the late Sidney and late Elaine Miller. Beloved husband of Judith, nee Levy. Loving father of Danielle (Joe) Miller Wagner and Jessica (Daniel) Klein and the late Gabriel Miller. Proud grandfather of Ethan, Micah, Andrew and Abigail. Brother-in-law of Linda and Robert Kanter. Alan was passionate about Jewish music, Broadway musicals, politics, his law practice and repairing the world. He will be missed by many friends and admirers. Services Monday 11:30 AM at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. Interment Westlawn Cemetery in Norridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to gabesfoundation.org, pancan.org or maotchitim.org.

Alan was a very special person! Singing with him since 1991, he became a friend, always eager to help, answer questions, and patiently listen. We joyfully listened to the cantors at the recent Spring, 2015, cantorial conference, and laughed when I said it was like candy, eating chocolate, hearing such magnificent sounds from each cantor, between our Kol Zimrah performances! In fact, Alan invited me to a Kol Zimrah performance 10 years ago, saying he thought I would enjoy it. Because of this invitation, I joined this choir! Alan was always reaching out in this way. We pray for strength for his dear family. May they be blessed by the wonderful memories of Alan, and his tremendous contribution to all he knew. Alan really succeeded in repairing the world!
