MACKAY (Alastair Robert):
Dearly loved eldest son of Alastair and Shirley, brother of Andrew, passed away suddenly on Sunday 21st August, 2016 at Fiona Stanley Hospital after a short illness.
Now at peace.
MACKAY (Alastair Robert):
In memory of our loving son Alastair, who left us so suddenly and far too early. We will forever cherish the special years we enjoyed together as a family, filled with love, sadness, good times, laughter and happiness. Memories that will stay with us forever. Mum and Dad.
MACKAY (Alastair Robert):
No more weird and wonderful books from authors I had never heard of or the heads-up on late night movies to watch on SBS. We were alike in many ways, but also very different. I will miss you. Andrew.

I had not heard the news of Alastair's passing until today. I'm deeply saddened at the loss of a such a warm, funny, erudite person who I was privileged to call a friend. His influence on my life was profound. My deepest sympathy and best wishes to his family.
