Dad, it has been six years since you left this physical earth but you are as close in my thoughts today as you have ever been. You will always be my heart, but you know that. Love you eternally!

My Dad at Sherrill's wedding. Wasn't he cute?

What a beautiful celebration of Mr. Ackers life today. Ali gave an articulate heartfelt tribute and Patty recited the prayer of St. Frances. It was truly a moving service. So sorry to read of Al's passing. I, too, worked with him for many years at the Ramada Inn. Al was a good man, hard working, honest, and always dependable. We also shared a few laughs. While I hadn't seen Al in several years, he always crosses my mind when I think about the wonderful people I have known. My sincere condolences to Eileen and the rest of Al's family.

To the Acker Family, So sorry for your loss . I worked with Al years ago at Ramada Inn in North Haven. I used to call him Uncle Al and have very fond memories of him and your family and all the times we had at the Ramada Inn. He was loved by all who knew him. I was blessed by knowing him and loved him like an uncle. We used to go for coffee after work at the diner. I lost touch with him but he touched my life making me a better person ,wife and mom. Now he is a Guardian Angel for all who knew him.
My deepest Sympathy.
