Albert Brusakos III Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2025.
IN LOVING MEMORY

Albert Stephen Brusakos III

August 3, 1983 - May 6, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Stephen Brusakos III, who left us far too soon on May 6th, 2025, at the age of 41. Born in Brooklyn on August 3, 1983, Albert was a vibrant soul: brilliant, passionate, and fiercely loyal.

Albert lived a life full of curiosity and conviction. A gifted computer scientist, he was always eager to share his knowledge, help others grow, and use technology to make the world better. He had a rare ability to explain even the most complex concepts with patience and excitement, inspiring many to pursue careers in tech.

His love for animals, especially snakes, was equally profound. Through education and gentle guidance, Albert helped countless people understand and care for these often misunderstood creatures. He was also an outstanding MMA competitor, winning second place at the World Open in his prime, bringing the same focus and strength to the mat that he brought to every part of his life.

Albert had a gift for bringing people together. He loved hosting family and friends for backyard barbecues, where he shared his passion for food, laughter, and connection. His home was always open, and he took pride in creating space for others to relax and feel loved. In quieter moments, Albert found joy in tending to his growing collection of pepper plants, nurturing each one with care. His green thumb was a source of pride and peace, yet another reflection of his ability to grow, give, and care deeply.

What made Albert truly unforgettable was his heart. He was animated, sharp-witted, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. He was a protector, a champion, and a constant source of support to his family and friends. If you were in Albert's circle, you knew what it meant to be loved unconditionally.

Albert is survived by his mother, Diana; his sisters, Christina and Sandra; his beloved daughter, Winter; his fiancée, Serena; and a wide community of friends from New York City to Upstate and beyond.

A memorial celebration of Albert's life will be held on his birthday, August 3, 2025, at the Claverack Town Park between 12 PM and 6 PM.

He will be missed more than words can say. The space he leaves behind is immeasurable, but we will fill it with the love he gave so freely. We will honor his memory by continuing to help others, by living boldly, and by raising his daughter to know exactly how incredible her father was.

My deepest condolences to the family. Al, thank you for always dealing with my calls and texts for computer help, my first business cards, life stuff etc., guess you knew Christina would bother you about it if you didn´t... Great laughs at a few bbq´s, stopping by the house when I came up to visit or when over talking your sister on the phone while she was chatting to you. Your gone too soon but know your flying high, watch over your family and little one. Prayers to the family and friends.

Al will always be apart of memories. When we were teenagers. He was a great friend of mine. His smile was always from ear to ear and could make a mime or one those British soldiers break their silence and burst out laughing. He brought joy to a lot of us . We might of drifted apart but those memories lived on with me and now they will forever. Rest in peace my old friend

To my dearest cousin and godson I haven´t seen in years but remember so much about you from your younger years as a child in Queens. You looked so much like your dad. You are going to be greatly missed. I know you are with DAD and he is so very proud of you. Love you Junior

Hi everyone,
We created this space for Al and most importantly his daughter Winter Rose to visit online when she gets older. So, she can always find a piece of her Dad through all of us, the people he cared so deeply for, even without an ask.
We plan on having a BBQ and some may call it a Celebration of Life for Al at the Claverack Town Park to enjoy life as he has cherished it. Even though he loved the simple things in life, i'm afraid we may never be able to meet his standards fully and that's a good thing to hold, by always striving for more. Respectfully, everyone that knew Al, knows he loved the best of the best always.
My motto to him was "If we reach for the stars and land on the moon, that's still okay and He would agree by saying "That's right Chris! We got this!".
We want to create a wholesome space BBQ style for everyone, to share memories and the best of vibes on his birthday, and remember everything in his life towards the end was always truly about Winter. This park was always a place to go to with Winter in town, to look up at the trees and clouds on the way and to enjoy fresh air and sunshine while there.
We would like to request memories of Al to be brought that day for winter, even in just memory. Please feel free to share memories here first and as well. We know his life was so much bigger than just us and we want to to honor that for Al. We have a few ideas of all of us making a recording, writing a letter, and pictures in a memery box etc but we are still plotting on the exact logistics. We know Al was loved and honored so we created this page for you all as well.

Thank you Jay for always being a shining light throughout the darkest times (we always figured "it" out and came out even stronger!), always having a steadyfast stance and a master mind throughout the brightest ones as well! I will be forever grateful for you, My Brother!
Here is one of many photo's of the G Q firehouse photo shoot on Jake and I wedding day! Again standing by our sides like a true original gangster! Love you Jay beyond the moon and stars!
