Albert Christensen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 21, 2014.
Albert George Christensen, 83, husband of Doris L. Christensen died peacefully on November 19th, 2014 after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer's.

Al was born in Sidney, Montana to Albert and Mary Christensen, the youngest of three children. After high school he graduated from the University of Montana majoring in History and began a career in teaching. He married Sharline Martin in 1956 and they had four beautiful daughters. They later divorced.

Al changed from teaching to insurance eventually working at Marsh & McLennon until his retirement as Vice-President in 1994. He met and married Doris Robinson in 1981. November 28, 2014 would have been their 33rd wedding anniversary. Together they enjoy many activities with family and friends: Bridge, bowling, cruising and traveling. Al was a caring and generous man, appreciated life's many blessings and always ready to share them with others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Hazel Mortinson and his brother Jack.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, his daughters Leesa (Martin) Andreas, Maren Christensen, Kristy Christensen (Fred Johnson), Kelly Christensen, Granddaughter Alexandra Christensen, Eliot Christensen, and special nieces and nephews. Also surviving him are his step-children Cheryl Robinson, Susan Robinson, Recia Weigelt and 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The Christensen family would like to thank Monica and Paul Duma and the other caregivers at the Loving Adult Family Home in Bothell for their loving care and compassion for Al over the years.
