Albert Clement, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 12, 2025.
Albert Bittick Clement Jr. passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on April 20, 1932, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Albert Bittick Clement Sr. and Mary Agnes (Hamilton) Clement. Albert lived a life marked by service, dedication and love for his family.

At just 15 years old on September 16, 1947, Albert enlisted with the 45th Infantry Division and was called to active duty on September 1, 1950, during his senior year of high school. He was honorably discharged as a Reserved Commissioned Officer of the Army in 1958.

In 1957, Albert met the love of his life, Charlene Laubach, while she was finishing nursing school at the University of Oklahoma Hospital. Their life together was filled with love and devotion for 67 years.

Albert's career spanned more than 60 years in the sales and installation of X-ray equipment. As the owner of his own business, he played a pivotal role in advancing medical imaging technology in Oklahoma, installing the first X-ray machine at Baptist Hospital in the 1950s. He continued his work until his retirement in 2023.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene Clement; daughters Connie Holt (Brian) of Edmond, Susan Haworth of OKC, and Linda Clement of OKC; son Dennis Clement of Edmond; four granddaughters; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.

Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Methodist Church in the Watchorn Chapel, located at 222 NW 15th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73103.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Albert's honor.

AB, my big brother, was my hero, playmate, guardian, financial advisor, and so much more. As born-again servants of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will spend eternity together. I miss him so much.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Clement clan! Family and friends, we are truly sorry for your loss. We didn´t know Mr. Clement but know his amazing son, Dennis. Mr. Clement sounded like an amazing person and he will be truly missed. It´s no wonder why Dennis turned out honorable, courageous, great mentor and friend.

God Bless you all,
