ALBERT (BERT) E. EDWARDS NOVEMBER 27, 1922 JUNE 3,2010 On Thursday, June 3, 2010 Bert ( a resident of Wolseley Lakeside Nursing Home) passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 87. He was formerly a long time resident of Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask. Bert was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Margaret Edwards, three brothers: Dick, George and one in infancy, sister-in-law May Edwards and uncle Bill Edwards, He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elleanor; his daughters Lynda (Lee) Carlson, Regina and Barbara (Terry) Paquin, Fort Qu'Appelle, his son Lee Edwards, Calgary; his grandchildren: Richard (Anna) Carlson, Regina, Jeff (Andrea) Carlson, Regina, Colin (Nancy) Paquin, Ottawa, Stacy (Jason) Paquin-Benko, Tappin, B.C., Shannon (Heath Mohr) Carlson, Assiniboia, Sask., and Eric Edwards, Calgary; his great grandchildren: Ryland, Haylee, Siera, Shelby, Brandon, Sydney and ShylohBrae, one brother, Jim (Joyce) Edwards, Assiniboia, two sisters-in law, June Edwards, Fort Qu'Appelle and Hedy Matthews, Regina also his numerous nieces and nephews. Bert and Elleanor were able to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on May 23rd at Wolseley. The family would like to thank the Lakeside Nursing Home for the care Bert received in his last few days. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Sharron Bodnaryk officiating. Cremation with interment in Lakeview Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bert's memory to a charity of ones choice.
