Albert A. (Apple) Evers, Sr.

SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Albert (Apple) Evers, Sr., will be held 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Tom Harrison of Broadmoor Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

Apple was born July 12, 1941 and passed away October 11, 2008 in Shreveport, LA. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Elks Lodge #122.

Preceding Apple in death is his parents, Preston and Louise Evers and two brothers, James and Vaughan Evers. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Anne Evers of Shreveport, LA; son, Art Evers and wife Jessica of College Station, TX; daughter, Sharon E. Davidson and husband Sammy of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Vaughan Evers, Leigh Ann Davidson, Chris Davidson, Sarah Aldrich and Brooke Davidson and one great-grandchild, Kiley Aldrich.

The family suggests memorial be made to Autism Speaks, 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 2250, Los Angeles, CA, 90036. Rose-Neath Funeral Home

I didn't know Al well but I do remember he was funny, kind, and had a smile that lit up his whole face. Pat and I are so sorry for your loss and we (and our church) will be praying for you and your family!

Dear Ann,
I was thinking about Apple this morning - about having one more jitterbug at our 5oth class reunion. You know he was my first boyfriend in 6th grade at Creswell School. I will always remember him with love and wonderful memories.
