On behalf of the Texas CW net, where Bert was a stalwart net control and supporter, in spite of his problems with keying, please accept our sincere condolences. We all were pulling for him during the past few months since he reported his illness and subsequent treatment. God must have had another plan for his dear soul. May he rest in peace and the Lord's perpetual light shine upon him. Steve Phillips, K6JT, Plano TX

Bert will be missed throughout the ham community. I will miss his easy-going personality after countless on-the-air contacts and face-to-face meetings at picnics over the years.

Was saddened to learn of Bert's death. Bert was a true gentleman and a dear friend of our family for many years. We will miss him on the "ham waves" and the many amateur radio functions that we attended over the years.

73 Bert, you are in a better place.
