To Al's family & friends,
I'm just now hearing the terrible news of your loss. Me along with many are very shocked. Although it's been 29 years ago, myself & many of his friends remember Al's blue ford truck, a english setter named spice, dancing to country music, eating at Sir Walter Raleigh Inn, duck boots, & his wonderful family. These are great memories for myself, his friends, & my family who loved him very deeply! My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you all. Al will always be SPECIAL! Rest in peace our **friend** & may God Bless!

I worked, cut firewood, and had a lot of fun with Al for a lot of years. From his very earliest days at UPS I encouraged him to be a Union Steward, he became one of the best. I watched his life with Lee Ann and their young family grow, loved them all, and my heart breaks for them. Maxine and I send our love.

Our family grew up with the Grouge's in Stonewall Manor. Al was one in a million and I will never forget this smiling face (and our family spaghetti dinners with the cheap wine and lawn darts). Although I have not seen Al in years, I still feel close to him. God Bless Patty Scholberg DeSantis

We are truly saddened to hear of the passing of "Coach Al." He will be missed. We will always remember his voice leading the "Grooooouge" cheer at OHS football games.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lee and the boys at this difficult time.

We are so saddened by the death of Al. Andrew called from Camp Pendleton this afternoon to share this tragic news. He had just visited with Al last January upon his return from Iraq. He was a great guy especially to the kids he coached along the way, he will be much missed by all. Our hearts go out to Lee and the boys.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Al’s family and the entire Manassas community. Al was a great supporter of all our kids and he will be sorely missed. The stands at the Osbourn football games will never be the same, a little quieter maybe, but never the same. I have a feeling we will be able to feel Al’s presence come September.
