Lynn and family, your dad sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing his obituary. Loss of a parent who helped to shape us is so hard. As 1 Thessalonians 4 tells us, find comfort knowing that you will spend eternity with your dad in his fully perfected body where you will laugh together once again and rejoice over all your blessings! Love Eileen

I offer my sincerest sympathy, Lynn to you at this sad time, and for Phil and your family in their a comfort and peace for you. I read with joy the story of your Father's life and the vast influence and wisdom he had. I pray for Nancy and her hope in the Return of Christ jn losing her dear husband. I pray for all of you in comforting one another with words of the Hope of the Lord's return. The Lord bless you and keep all of you all the days of your lives until that Great Day!

Al and Nancy were the greatest Hanover Road, Newtown, neighbors. We had so much fun together, especially at happy hour. I will always be grateful for their generosity in allowing me unlimited access to their indoor pool. I miss them both and Nancy is correct - So glad she married him and shared him with all of us. With much love to the family, Mary.

The last time I saw "Big Al" was when he came all the way to Cary, North Carolina to participate in my father's 80th birthday celebration in 2013. He helped me find words when I didn't know what to say on that occasion. Until now I didn't realize that Al was also an only child, like my father, but clearly it wasn't true in either case because my dad described Al as his "brother"; they rejoiced in each other's humor, could complete each other's sentences and "feed off each other" as my dad liked to say. A house-building hero in our childhood, Al was always a source of good cheer, whether as a "Hunting Ridge Raindeer" or as a kindly host to yet more boisterous children on his premises. I'd be hard pressed to find a better role model. I'll be tuned to the heavens to hear the latest punchline. I dare say it might be a new rendition of "Would I?" ;-)
Rest in peace and see you on the other side!
