Albert (Al) Austin Taber III, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Houston, TX, and raised in Savannah, GA, Al was a 1959 graduate of Benedictine Military School and Emory University.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia; children Michael (Deborah), Albert IV, Teresa (Randy), Mary (Rob), Melanie (Bryan), Patrick (Karen), and Scott (Marcy); sisters Susan (Dave) and Cathy (Nick); brothers David, William (Kathy), and John; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen; son Robert; and parents Austin and Thelma.
A celebration of Al's life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by reaching out to someone you care about or by donating to the Benedictine Military School (thebc400.com).
