MY child-hood friend, classmate and neighbor, I so am sorry to have gotten the news that Charity has passed. We went to school from elementary to high school and graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School in 1958. Although it has been some time since I've seen her I still feel a sense of closeness to her because as children and neighbors in the Irish Channel we were like family. It is with a deep sense of lost and sadness I extend my sincere condolences to her children, sisters and her entire family. May she rest in peace and you also enjoy the peace that surpasses all understanding that only God can extend to all of you.

I have known Miss charity most of my childhood life up until now. Miss Charity was a very sweet and kind and wonderful person. I know I will miss her dearly. I pray that Miss charity homegoing celebration will draw many to Christ and that they may accept him as their lord and savior, for one day they may have to pass this way.

Love is patient, kind, nonjudgemental, not self seeking, does not dishonor others and rejoices in truth! That is the Charity I have known all of my life. I am so grateful my loving aunt will be in my heart forever.
