Albertina DE HAAN Obituary
DE HAAN, Albertina Jozefina Tina was born in the Netherlands, on April 14, 1934. In Holland, she met her loving husband and partner of 48 years, Hendrik H de Haan, and had 2 daughters before immigrating to Canada in 1957. Their 3rd daughter was born to them once they settled in Vancouver. Tina was a vivacious woman who loved life and would take every opportunity she could to enjoy it. Tina was taken swiftly on November 16, soon after her diagnosis, leaving many friends and family behind saddened and broken-hearted. She is predeceased by daughter Michelle (1970) and her husband Henk (2001). She leaves behind her best friend and brother, Bill (Sherry), brother John (Teresa), sister Josie (Don), her two daughters, Maryke (Gary) and Marilyn, grandchildren Ryan (Jean), Tanya, Garret (Susie) and Justin and great-grandchildren Anneke, Henk and Lia. We were blessed to have her in our lives because she loved us beyond all boundaries. She will be lovingly remembered on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 am, at Burnett Fellowship Church, 20639 123rd Avenue, Maple Ridge, BC.

I had the pleasure/honor of working with Tina at RCH for many years. We became good friends. I had the opportunity to have lunch with Tina just a few weeks ago where we shared many memories, stories and some laughter. I am so saddened to hear of this loss. I will always keep her close in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult and sad time. Edith Labinsky
