TROMBETTA, Alessandro, M.D., Capt. USN Ret. Died in Santa Rosa, January 17, 2002. Loving husband for 60 years to Valentina Trombetta of Santa Rosa. Loving father of Peter Trombetta of Santa Rosa, Mike Trombetta of Honolulu, HI, Deanna Marbach of Darien, CT and Rickey Stancliff of Forestville. Beloved grandfather of Michael Coover, Chris Trombetta, Ann Trombetta, Alexis Marbach, Erica Stancliff and Valentina Trombetta. A native of Calabria, Italy. Age 90 years. A veteran of World War II, Korea and the Viet Nam Era, serving as a Captain in the Medical Corps, US Navy. He was a graduate of Columbia University and Creighton Medical School. A member of the A.M.A., Order of the Holy Sepulcher, Knights of St. Gregory, St. Eugene’s Cathedral and he was Chief of Staff at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in 1964. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 24, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Eugene’s Cathedral with interment to follow with military honors at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Catholic Charities, PO Box 4900, Santa Rosa, CA 95402, Hanna Boys Center, PO Box 100, Sonoma, CA 95476, Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1165 Montgomery Dr., Santa Rosa, CA 95405 or to your favorite charity. Arrangements under the direction of EGGEN & LANCE MORTUARY.
