ALEX JON, JR.
Age 48, formerly of Peters Township, current of Sewickley, PA, passed peacefully on March 31, 2013, at home, with his loving family, following a brief illness. In addition to his mother, Kathryne, father, Alex, Sr. and brother, Aaron Judd (42), he is survived by his son, Jeffery Allen (28), daughter, Jennifer Ashley (22), son, Justin Andrew (19) and grandson, (son of Jeffery) Colton John (2). Beyond his immediate family, he brought joy to all whose path he crossed, especially aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, friends, co workers, neighbors and fellow board members at his home owners association. Alex Jon spent his adult life in the transportation field. An excellent athlete at Peters Township High School and a scholarship athlete in college, he retained his interest in sports, coaching peewee hockey and soccer. He was an avid sports fan his entire life, but his greatest joy came from being a special father to his children, a loyal brother and loving son to his parents. In compliance with his wishes, burial arrangements will be private and under the care of BEINHAUERS, 724-941-3211. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 50 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, PA 15243.

Dear Gentile Family,
I am so sorry to read of Alex's passing our son's played hockey together many years ago I remember Alex being a wonderful family man and coach a great mentor for the boys I pray for the family during this very sad time heaven has gained an angel.

My deepest sympathies to Alex's family, his children and grandson. I've never met any of you but I feel like I know you because Alex always spoke so fondly of you. He was a very proud father and always had pictures of his grandson. He was a very good friend to me for over 15 years.

So sorry to hear of Jon's death. I remember him fondly. We lived in the McGrann Hills neighborhood when he was a teenager. He was a happy and considerate young man. Our hearts go out to his family.
