Alex Spivak of Dedham was entered into rest September 14, 2013 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Khana S. Baranchuk and the late Enna Spivak. Alex was the devoted father of Gene and his wife, Rita Spivak and Victor and his wife, Raya Spivak and the dear step-father of Alex Baranchuk and Beata Baranchuk. He is also survived by his loving sister, Fira Gurevich and her husband, Isaak. He was the cherished grandfather of Edward, Elliot, Jesse, Enna and Hanna. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Beth El Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA. The family will announce details of a memorial observance at the service.

Alex was like an older brother to me. He taught me to speak Russian and was fun to be around. I haven't seen Alex in the past two years but I would think of him very often. My sincere condolences to his loving family and to his many friends. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Jim Sheroff and family
