Alexander Allaire Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 14, 2024.
Alexander Aaron Allaire, aged 30, passed away on November 11, 2024, in Arbutus, Maryland. Born on July 5, 1994, in Columbia, Maryland, Alex was known for his bravery, daring spirit, and inquisitive mind. His intellectual pursuits were not just confined to academia but also extended to his everyday life, where he was playful, mischievous, and incredibly smart.

Alex attended Howard Community College, where he was deeply engaged in studying Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, and Web Development. His academic achievements included earning certificates in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency (RF), Computer Hardware, Project Management, and Computer Science.

Professionally, Alex made significant contributions as a technician at 3G Wireless, where he worked from January 2021 until his passing. His role involved working on radio frequency communications, where he also gained valuable experience in electrical engineering and project management. Earlier, from August 2004 to June 2005, he was an assistant at Wild Lake Middle School, aiding special needs students and assisting in teaching math classes, chess, and outdoor activities.

Alex's hobbies reflected his brilliant and curious mind. He was an exceptional chess and card game player, loved technology, and often devoted his spare time to fixing computers and educating others about computer science. His passion for learning and sharing knowledge was recognized by the Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post, for his involvement with reading initiatives that were aimed at promoting a love of reading among boys.

He is survived by his grandmother, Marti Happel; grandfather, Mitch Harris; mother, Elisabeth Happel; father, Aaron Allaire; siblings Grace Allaire, Shoshanna Allaire, Xavier Avila, Isabel Avila, and Bryce Walton; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alex's surviving nieces Sophia Allaire, Alana Allaire, Azura-Marie Allaire-Takam, and Hailey Lynn Brooks; and nephews Tristen Harvey and Dominic Benitez knew him to be exceptionally playful, gentle, and loving. They often remarked how much of a cool uncle he was.

A family-only viewing will be held at Donaldson Funeral Homes, of Laurel, on Friday, November 15, 2024. His body has been donated to medical science, to the Maryland Anatomy Board, in a hope that others too can learn.

Alexander Aaron Allaire will be remembered for his resourceful and talented nature, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Alex was a beautiful baby and such a sweet little boy. I was privileged to have him live with me for a short time and he was always happy and agreeable, willing to eat his vegetables and be the clean up crew to finish off the veggies instead of having to toss them. I remember one time when he couldn't wait to tell me how his dad had saved him from being hurt from being hit by a car, he demonstrated how he had he scrunched up when his dad grabbed him by his backpack and he got to fly a little bit and landed safely out of the way. His reenactment was adorable. A little peanut back then. Always helpful, kind, and caring. Love you, Alex.

I remember Alex as a sweet little bundle of joy. He was such a cutie pie and always had a smile on his face. He also was a mini Aaron and looked just like his Dad. He was so smart (just like his dad) and had a heart of gold. He truly will be missed. We love and miss you Alex!

Alex was very funny. I remember one time he, our brother Xavier, and one of Alex's friends tested to see if duct tape was strong enough to tape our sister Isa to a wall. Spoiler, it was. I was not their for the experiment, but the pictures were hilarious. Alex was always doing something humorous and silly.

Alex and I shared a room, for a time, in our youth. We took turns sleeping on either bunk/level of a pull-out trundle bed. One time I was sick, and was running back and forth to the restroom. We had been tucked into bed, he on the lower level within arm's reach. I woke up in the night, tried to climb over him to get to the bathroom, and ended up getting sick on his face and chest. He would never sleep on the bottom level after that. I can't say that I blame him. I think, in the few instances that he was made to sleep on the bottom, he would never lay his head at the top of the bed. I would always be faced with his feet.
