On Saturday, December 23, 2017 Alexis Grace Gardner, cherished daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend passed away suddenly at the age of 24. Alexis will be lovingly remembered by all that knew her. She is proceeded in death by her Father Jesse, Grandfathers and one Grandmother and horse Jay Jay. Alexis was a beloved member of the California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo Dressage team, acting as the dedicated horse manager and was soon to graduate with her Bachelors of Science degree in Materials Engineering. Alexis will forever be remembered for her love of all animals, especially her dog Gio and horse Jay Jay. Alexis is survived in death by her mother, Deborah Gardner, her brother, Alexander Jesse Gardner; aunts, Marti, Elena, and Dianne; and uncles, Mike, Rick and Jeff; grandmother, Norma who passed January 17, 2018, and numerous cousins and friends, as well as her beloved dog Gio.

A Service is to be held in memory of Alexis and in support of her family on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at AM Gamby Funeral Home 25001 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA 90717.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Alexis Grace Gardner should be made to The California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo Dressage Team (Cal Poly State University Animal Science Department, Lou Moore-Jacobsen Dressage Team, 1 Grand Avenue San Luis Obispo, CA 93407 -Check memo to read "CP Dressage Team") or The California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo Materials Science Department (California Polytechnic State University College of Engineering Advancement, 1 Grand Avenue San Luis Obispo, CA 93407.) I AM WRITING THIS TODAY AS THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE MY THOUGHTS. FIVE MONTHS HAVE PASSED AND YOUR MOTHER HAS PASSED ALSO, ON APRIL 28, 2018. AJ IS THE LAST PERSON IN YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND MY HEART IS SO HEAVY FOR HIM AND YOU. YOUR LIVE WAS SHORT BUT SO PACKED WITH LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP TO FILL THE CHALICE TO OVER FLOWING.
