Alfred Flores Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 18, 2024.
Alfred Manuel Flores, a 5th-generation native of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on January 11, 1957 to Alfred Solarez Flores and Corrine Flores, (both of whom preceded him in death), Alfred was the oldest of five children. He shared a deep bond with his family, and his closeness to his parents, siblings, extended family and friends was a cornerstone of his life.

Known for his boisterous personality, sharp wit, and love of lively debates, Alfred was a memorable figure to all who knew him. A lifelong Elvis fan, he was well-loved for his spot-on impersonations of "The King," often entertaining friends and family with his renditions. He also had a deep admiration for Bruce Lee, quoting the martial arts legend and drawing strength from his philosophy. These passions, combined with his sense of humor and infectious energy, made him larger-than-life.

Alfred's life was also marked by resilience and sacrifice. At the age of 16, he dropped out of high school to marry Rosemary Flores and raise his four children. Although their marriage eventually ended, the years they shared were an important part of his life. Alfred remained a devoted father, working tirelessly to provide for his family through various jobs, including manufacturing at Penn and forklift operations at Fry's warehouse, until a workplace injury shifted his career toward delivery work. No matter the challenge, Alfred's determination to care for his family never wavered.

Alfred is survived by his four children: Yvonne Whittaker, Erik Flores, Adam Flores, and Rico Flores. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Angela Flores, his grandson, Tayjawn Dennis, and his brothers Mark and Tommy Flores. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his two siblings, Roberta Felix and Jaime Flores, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward his legacy of strength, wisdom, and love.

He was a man who, though flawed, gave everything he could to those he loved. Alfred will be deeply missed, but his legacy as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a man of great intellect, passion, and humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

So sad & devastated to find out Alfred passed away. I reached out to Alfred numerous times for us to get together but he was too busy. We went through so many hard times in life. Alfred always remained positive & we stuck together & made it through tough times. He is a brother to me & will always be in my heart til my dying day. We had so much fun & good times together I will always cherish forever. I told my mom of Alfred passing away she cried on my shoulder. Rest in peace my brother Alfred see you when I get there in that ''gangsta lean". Love forever Gary Briones & my wife ""LOCA"" Cynthia....
