M.D., Alfred James Grierson, 89 March 14, 1922 Oct. 31, 2011 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, physician and friend. Graduate of Grant High School, University of Portland and OHSU Medical School (class of 1946). Captain in Army Air Corps. Wife, Norma Keefe Grierson (deceased). Survived by 11 children: Norma Hamblin, Nancy Ikeda, Ann Strayer, Maureen Stearns, Virginia Browning and Molly Mataele; sons, Jim, John Mike, Greg, Larry and Patrick; 26 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. We love you, Dad. You will remain in our hearts forever. Funeral Services will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church, N.E. 54th and Alameda, Portland on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011. Viewing at 9 a.m., Rosary at 10 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Military interment at Willamette National Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. Donations can be made in Dr. Al Grierson's name to the Serra Club of Portland St. Patrick's Church 1623 N.W. 19th Ave. Portland, OR 97209.
