So very sorry to hear about Uncle Fred and Aunt Marion! I have fond memories of visiting them in Vermont as a child! As different as they were, they complimented each other well. May they both rest in peace and be reunited with their loved ones!

I'm so very sad to hear about my Great Aunt and Uncle! I remember all the times we were at Grandma's , playing cards all night long, eating good food and listening to funny stories!, and parking cars at Alfie's when I was a teenager! We seemed to have reached the age , where life stops giving you things and starts taking them away!

Mrs. LaTorella was my 5th grade teacher. I was actually just thinking about her last week as I begin my 14th year as a teacher myself. She was always funny, exciting, and always told us “perfect isn’t possible.” She reminded us too that “no one can ruin your day” and she put a new quote of the day on the board each morning. I have such fond memories of her and think back on my 5th grade year fondly. I am so sorry to hear of her and her husband’s passing. My condolences to the family. I will never forget her.

Two great humans who, even though they weren´t real Vermonters sure did force Vermonters to pick up their game some. They were both a joy to know and to be around. Never dull that´s for sure.

I heard about Fred hitting a golf shot into the water on Manchester Country Club´s 13th hole. He actually bit his leg and drew blood. That little pond became Lake LaTorella forever. He was quite a character indeed,

Alfred Louis and Marion Florence LaTorella Obituary
If you are reading this, well-we've passed. As Marion might say, if this were a party, we'd be the ones showing up a bit late: Fred still irritated about something, Marion in a colorful, flowy getup-then singing, dancing, and telling stories...
