MURILLO, Sr., Alfred
Born November 27, 1920 in Claremont, CA to the late Francisco and Avelina Murillo, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2012. Alfred was married for over 62 years to the love of his life, Sarah Galvez Murillo who predeceased him in death in 2006. Alfred lived a vigorous 91 years. He grew up with seven brothers and sisters working in the agricultural fields of California, Nevada and Oregon. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 31 years of dedicated services. He and Sarah were soul mates and their lives together were filled with the joy of family and friends whom they clearly loved. Alfred is survived by his son Alfred Jr., grandson Alfred III, daughter-in-law Ileana, brothers David and Frank, sister Alice, sisters-in-laws Helen Murillo, Rose Chavez, Cecilia Hernandez, Paula Fox, brothers-in-laws, Ralph and Jim Galvez and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to extend his heartfelt thanks to all the caretakers, nurses and staff at Villa Marche in Stockton for their compassion and professionalism.
A memorial Catholic Mass will be held at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, CA 95207 at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento, CA on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to the services
